Nose of dark chocolate, orange zest and cherry. Full bodied with well-coated tannins. Notes of plum, cinnamon, black tea and licorice with a lengthy finish. SR (3/23)

The San Lorenzo vineyard is located just north of Healdsburg. The grapes that make up this wine come from the oldest part of a vineyard planted in the 1890s. This classic field blend, based on zinfandel, includes a significant proportion of petite sirah and alicante. These deeply-colored, more tannic varieties add structure to the zinfandel fruit. After fifteen months in barrel, tannins have softened. Enjoyable upon release, it will evolve over the next ten years. JO (2/22)
