Dark garnet red color. Scented cherry and blueberry fruits, seductive, layered and deep. Opulent bramble fruit entry, sensuous tannins, rich and complex. EB (9/20)
Planted in 1888, Evangelho vineyard made beautiful wine for Ridge from 1990-1993. When offered the grapes this year, we were delighted to have the chance to make this wine again. Its warm climate is well-suited to the three varietals grown there. Picked early to avoid overripening, we made a wine that shows excellent old-vine character. It will be at its best over the next decade.
